Baby C | 7 Days New {Brooklyn Baby Photographer}

I know I've neglected my blog lately, but I have a pretty good excuse. I've been working on something for a while now... 9 months to be exact. This little guy was born on July 25th. It wasn't an easy pregnancy, and I had to turn down some great jobs because of it, but I'm happy to report that he is making up for all of the nausea, exhaustion, and pain by being the sweetest, easiest baby in the world. So easy that I've started booking and blogging again! Stay tuned for some fresh images this fall.

One thing I was reminded of while working on my son's newborn pics: what a difference a week makes. These images were captured when he just 1 week old. I did another session when he was over 2 weeks, and the images had a completely different feel. (He was wide awake and squirming the whole time.) That's not to say you can't capture some great images at that point, but if you want sleepy, squishy newborn shots, it really has to be done in the first 10-12 days. They're only this little for such a brief period of time--I already miss those earliest days.

Anyway, check out what I made!

An Afternoon in Cadman Plaza Park

I think it's appropriate that this blog's first photo collage should feature someone who is both my favorite and my toughest subject. Favorite, because she's my daughter. Toughest, because her fascination with mommy's camera wore off long ago, and now she does her best to run the other way whenever I point a lens in her direction. Nevertheless, I think we managed to capture some gems this weekend in Downtown Brooklyn.
